Hi, I'm Roshi. I've been photographing women and motherhood on the Gold Coast and in Byron for over a decade. Not just the pretty bits, the electric, tender, wild, in-between bits. Beaches, backyards, laneways. Anywhere the light hits right and you can actually breathe. For years I kept seeing the same thing: phones full of the kids, hardly any of you. And when you did book photos, they felt… fine. Safe. A bit flat. Everyone smiling, no one really seen. And gosh do I know the quiet worries too ,what if I hate how I look, what if the kids go feral, what if it ends up looking like everyone else's. As a mum myself, that never sat right with me. So I built something different. Years of shooting, teaching yoga, and working with women's bodies have made me obsessed with the small things , your breath, your shoulders dropping, the moment you finally relax. I shoot with natural light, relaxed guided direction, and a whole lot of trust. You don't need to know how to pose. I'll hold the structure so you can just be in the moment. If you're done disappearing from your own story you're my person.
